UTHSC PechaKucha Night at Crosstown Arts
In collaboration with Crosstown Arts, the Interprofessional Student Council is hosting a UTHSC Pecha Kucha Night on ! We are seeking presentation proposals from any interested UT students, faculty, and staff. This will be a fun and informal evening where we can share our ideas and get to know the Crosstown community!
What is Pecha Kucha?
If you’re wondering what “PechaKucha” means, it draws its name from the Japanese term for the sound of “chit chat.' PechaKucha Nights began in Tokyo as an opportunity for artists, designers and architects to show samples of their work, but have expanded to include anyone from the community sharing a wide array of interesting topics, issues and projects. This is a fun, informal gathering and the audience is made up of anyone who wants to come and enjoy seeing what other Memphians are up to.
The key to PechaKucha Night is the 20x20 format. All presenters show 20 slides for 20 seconds each, making each presentation concise and dynamic.
Pecha Kucha Night Memphis #9 is a collaboration among Crosstown Arts and UT Health Science Center during National Public Health Week.
